Many insurance companies to cover acupuncture and will cover “out of network” acupuncture.

We are happy to provide you with a "super bill," at your request, for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement in the case that they cover acupuncture. If you are planning on receiving insurance reimbursement, we recommend you contact them prior to your appointment. Your benefits and reimbursement are solely between you and your insurance company with the insurance company directly reimbursing you the amount that they determine, and that depends on your specific insurance plan.

Except for providing you a super bill at your request, all insurance billing and reimbursement is solely between you and your insurance company and does not involve Dafna Laurie, LAc nor Encompass Wellness.

We are not "in network" with any health insurance companies and do not file insurance for you.

  • Acupuncture works to relieve many health conditions and to optimize health. Chinese Medicine’s main role is to reestablish the body’s own ability to heal.

The number of treatments required to resolve health care issues depends on many factors including how long you have had the condition and its severity. Typically, patients feel positive changes in their health after three to four weekly treatments. Please note, the initial treatment plan usually includes weekly treatments for 4-6 weeks, with 1-2 sessions per week. Once you are feeling better treatments are spaced out to biweekly or further, depending on your situation.

The best results come from focused, weekly treatment accompanied by appropriate prescribed herbal medicine, supplementation and recommended adjustments in your nutrition and lifestyle . In general, the longer your have you have had your particular issue, and the more severe, the longer a course of treatment.

Once your condition is resolved, most patients move to monthly, or even seasonal treatment for wellness maintenance and optimization.Item description
